Description and Requirements
Role Value Proposition:
We are looking for a Senior Scrum Leader for our ADM Integrations team in our Employer Servicing Agile Release Train (ART), part of the Small Business Solutions Platform. This team will focus on multiple integration solutions across the platform. They will be responsible for delivering new features and functionality as well as assisting on production issues as necessary. The team will work closely with other ADM teams across the Solution Train as well as other MetLife application teams that have integrations on the system. We are seeking an experienced Scrum lead to guide and support this team, ensuring successful delivery of Integration solutions and fostering Agile best practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum Events: Plan and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring alignment with Agile principles
- Coach the Team: Guide the Systems Integrations Team in Agile practices, enabling continuous improvement, high-quality delivery, and collaboration
- Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and resolve blockers and impediments that hinder the team's progress
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, System Architects, and other stakeholders to ensure clarity of priorities and requirements for integrations
- Track Team Progress: Monitor and report on team performance using Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown charts, and team capacity
- Support Integration Delivery: Oversee the delivery of integration solutions, ensuring alignment with MetLife's enterprise architecture and data security standards
- Enable External Collaboration: Coordinate with external partners for integrations outside of MetLife, managing expectations and delivery timelines
- Foster a Collaborative Culture: Build a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or, a related field
- Agile Expertise: Expertise in product development and engineering Agile development, preferably within the financial services or insurance industry. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, specifically the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- SAFe Certifications: 1 or more SAFe certifications: Certified SAFe Practitioner (SP), Certified SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), Certified SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC)
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate across multiple partners
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and challenges effectively
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence team members and stakeholders
- Tools Proficiency: Proficiency in Agile project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Target Process, Jira, Confluence, and other relevant software
Preferred:
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the US Group Benefits business
- Integrations: Experience working on enterprise integration projects in a large-scale corporate environment
