As Sandoz Global Development Organization, we are responsible for the development and delivery of biosimilar and generic medicines, impacting patients’ lives worldwide.
The role is part of Biopharma Technical Development and will be based in Slovenia. Our aspiration is to be innovative in applying science to develop cell lines, technologies and processes that will enable production of high quality biosimilars. We are looking for a Senior Scientist Downstream Process development (d/f/m) with experiences in downstream process equipment and development of methods for protein isolation and purification.
Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Actively contribute to the internal build of downstream process development capabilities (e.g., take responsibility for investments of complex equipment and projects) and to the definition of process platform.
- Design, plan, execute and lead process characterization activities according to Quality by Desing principles and tools (e.g., risk-based approach, JMP software, Design of Experiments, linear regression fitting and hypothesis testing/interpretation etc).
- Leading investments and qualification of laboratory equipment and systems.
- Preparation of development documentation for process transfer from/to internal or external partners, and support of registration documentation preparation.
- Leading evaluation, development and implementation of new technologies, and knowledge exchange.
- Development and mentoring of associates.
- High level of integrity and proactive collaboration in local and global teams.
What you will bring to the role:
- Professional degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering or other related Life sciences / Biotechnology field.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the field of downstream process development.
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
