SUMMARY
We are seeking a passionate, focused, and service-driven Aviation Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience in Ground Support Equipment purchasing and sales roles in the aviation industry, along with having excellent rapport-building skills and a passion for providing exceptional service. The role's focus will be to engage with various types of industry clients, including private, corporate, and national, to assist them with purchasing electrified conversion kits and aviation equipment to improve their operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position is characterized by a sustained record of sales achievement and complete knowledge of the company’s policies, products and/or services in ground support equipment for the aviation industry.
- Develops strategies and executes sales of products and/or services by researching and analyzing aviation market trends, researching and resolving customer problems, researching and selecting vendors, recommending modifications to the product/service line and negotiating with appropriate personnel
- Travels regularly to communicate with customers & vendors to build and maintain relationships (both existing and prospective) regarding the purchasing and sales of product
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to clients and stay up to date with GSE aviation industry development and advancements.
- Provides information for sales forecasts, prepare and deliver sales proposals and contracts
- Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the GSE aviation industry and provide feedback to the product development team on customer needs and preference.
- Under general supervision, plans, conducts and may supervise assignments generally involving the larger and more important customers
- Reviews progress and evaluates results
- Recommends changes in procedures
- Operates with substantial latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions
- Reviews progress with management
- Applies comprehensive knowledge to complete difficult assignments.
- Customers may be domestic or international requiring familiarity with world markets, foreign exchange and other types of risks
- Continually meet targets, KPI’s and sales goals on a monthly and quarterly basis.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the aviation GSE industry.
- Strong understanding of aviation GSE equipment and operations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to effectively build rapport with clients
- Demonstrated experience in achieving and exceeding targets and KPI’s in a previous role
- Confident and personable in character
- Excellent customer service skills
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Good computer skills with prior experience in using a CRM system
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred: Related Majors: Business Management
10 years of experience in a sales or account management role in aviation industry preferably in Ground Support Equipment sales and manufacturing.
