Fluence is seeking a Growth Manager to help us grow the energy storage market. You will conduct market-opening activities to engage with customers, communicate the value of storage, perform market segmentation analyses for our solutions/services, perform storage benefit assessment (analytical), and drive policy formation that will enable future growth for energy storage markets.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify new markets and evolving market opportunities for storage applications and provide strategic support to the Sales and Marketing teams to drives sales growth and thought leadership.
- Provide structured and analytically driven strategic analysis of the regional energy storage markets to develop, implement, track and drive regional, customer-segment, and/or application-specific go-to-market plans. Present findings and strategies to management, customers, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Lead technoeconomic modeling of existing and new applications of Fluence’s energy storage solutions, including revenue and energy market modelling, for internal and external presentation.
- Engage both analytically and at regulatory and policy level with customers and stakeholders to drive market opening and continued focus on energy storage. This may involve leadership of policy and regulatory industry engagements, such as trade association working groups, and submissions.
- Educate customers and stakeholders on the benefits of energy storage including market development efforts to open new opportunities and efforts to transition key customers down the sales pipeline.
- Form and maintain constructive working relationships with electricity industry stakeholders, including regulators, other government officials, NGOs and customers.
- Be an integral part of the regional Growth & Market Development team contributing to sales strategy and go-to-market plans, internal market outlooks.
- Create case studies, white papers, webinars, testimonials, photo/video contents, etc. on projects, and other location-specific content.
- Develop clear, concise, and creative copy for blog posts, local trade publications, newsletters, & social/website/digital media by working with the relevant teams across the business.
- Coordinate with key media contacts across local business and trade publications.
- Draft bi-lingual press releases and responsible for the dissemination of the PRs.
- Identify and coordinate external speaking engagements and develop core messages.
- Coordinate conference sponsorships, customer events/roadshows and tradeshows, including booth design, sponsorship deliverables, and event invitations.
- Manage 3rd party public relations and other local marketing consultants, as needed. Work closely with our creative resources such as PR agencies and graphic designers.
- Work closely with the local sales team and apply Account-Based Marketing techniques to enhance the customer experience.
- Support with other sales enablement activities as needed, such as creating sales pitch presentation, case studies, collaterals, etc.
Requirements
- 3-6 years’ experience in the energy industry and an understanding of market fundamentals driving broad investment decisions in the sector.
- Tertiary qualifications in an analytical field such as engineering, economics or related.
- Demonstrated business judgment and individual initiative. The ability to work independently and cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, Services and Engineering teams.
- Experience with energy storage technology, markets and regulatory frameworks strongly preferred.
- Experience in B2B marketing and/or communications roles preferred.
- Strong content generation/writing and communications skills required.
- Curiosity to learn, ownership and an entrepreneurial attitude for getting things done in a fast-moving environment and rapidly developing industry.
- Track record of taking ownership over responsibilities and driving results both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills. The candidate should be capable of creating compelling arguments and communicating them to audiences composed of technical, commercial, and regulatory backgrounds.
- Ability to seek and give advice.
