Job Description:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Ruby on Rails Software Engineer to join our growing development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-stack development, be passionate about creating robust and scalable web applications, and enjoy working in a collaborative and agile environment.
You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining our core applications, contributing both to backend and frontend systems. If you thrive on problem-solving and are excited about working with modern technologies, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Collaborate with a small development team to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
• Contribute to frontend development, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and propose improvements to the current stack.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks (e.g., Django, Laravel).
• Proven experience with full-stack development, including backend and frontend.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React.js, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Strong knowledge of database systems, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with testing frameworks like RSpec, Minitest, or similar.
• Version control expertise with Git and experience using platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
• Exposure to GraphQL and real-time communication tools like ActionCable or WebSocket APIs.
• Understanding of modern DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Background in building and scaling high-traffic applications.
