Senior Retrofit Technical Specialist (Project Manager)

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Retrofit Technical Specialist (Project Manager) to support Boeing Global Services and join the C-17 Retrofit, Maintenance, and Modifications team in San Antonio, TX.
Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Retrofit, Maintenance, and Modification during concept development, contracting, project planning and retrofit scheduling.
- Defines the procedures, special engineering, special tooling, kit requirements, work packages, and material requirements for accomplishment of inspections, modifications, improvement changes, and repairs of delivered products.
- Responsible for project development, planning, implementation, management, and technical support activities related to maintenance, modifications, and repairs per established customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Creates draft document delivery schedule in coordination with overall modification schedule.
- Ability to interact with USG customers, clear written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated problem solving, communication and collaboration skills.
- Control Account Manager for various projects utilizing Earned Value Management to manage work scope, schedule, cost and performance against a baseline plan.
- Acts as primary project contact to establish key partner requirements and project objectives.
- Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion.
- Coordinates commitments with internal and external collaborators to fulfill strategies.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years Military aircraft experience
- 5+ Years Project Management Experience
- 5+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involve working with cross-functional teams
- 5+ years of experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools
- Experience working within a fast-paced team environment which requires strong communication skills to frequently interact with Program Leadership, internal and external customers
- Ability to travel 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with C-17 operations
- Experience supporting projects or programs utilizing Earned Value management
- Control Account Manager (CAM) experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications
- Familiarization with Time Compliance Tech Orders (TCTO).
- Experience working with a diverse group of people and demonstrating you will listen, seek feedback, and respond, appropriately, urgently, and respectfully.
- Knowledge with or working with Supply Chain/Supplier Mgmt.
