http://Realtor.com ’s News & Insights is seeking a seasoned news reporter or content marketer to write content for our Advice vertical which is aimed at both active buyers, sellers and owners in the real estate market.  You will be required to come up with ideas for compelling content of all types (both timely and evergreen) that build a quality in-market audience and lead to conversions. 

In this role, you will also write stories that align with our Advice strategy.  This role requires someone with a genuine interest in real estate, outstanding SEO skills and an understanding of product placement. You will be a team player who will work cross-functionally with other editors and marketers. 

What you’ll do:

  • Write articles to a high standard on a daily basis and for longer-term planning
  • Come up with innovative ideas for advice content that builds a quality audience
  • You will be required to use key performance indicators to optimize content that drives revenue 
  • You will have a good understanding of the technical aspects of SEO and how to optimize content for search 
  • You will also be required to come up with compelling ideas for guides that appeal to advertisers 
  • You will have a solid understanding of the real estate industry, and keep up to date on trends within the industry

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong writing and communication skills 
  • You will have a solid track record of writing content that leads to business outcomes
  • At least five years’ experience as a news reporter or content marketer
  • Real estate subject matter expertise
  • Familiarity with content management systems
  • A solid understanding of SEO with demonstrable results
  • Bachelor’s degree

This is a hybrid role based in New York City where you will be required in the office three days a week.
