JOB DESCRIPTION
- Qualifications:
- Educational Background:• A Master's degree in Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related fields.• Candidates with backgrounds in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with relevant battery cell research experience will also be considered.
- Work Experience:• At least 3-5 years of hands-on technical experience in the battery industry.• Proven experience in researching and developing lithium-ion batteries, with exposure to safety performance, failure analysis, reliability testing, and/or life prediction.• Experience with emerging battery technologies such as solid-state batteries, sodium-ion batteries, or other next-generation energy storage systems is a plus.
- Technical Expertise:• Strong knowledge of battery safety, performance, and degradation mechanisms. Basic knowledge on CFD and/or battery life modeling is a plus• Familiarity with advanced analytical tools and techniques for material and battery testing.• Understanding of battery pack/system integration is a plus.
- Soft Skills:• Good English presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate research findings to technical and non-technical audiences.• Excellent written and good verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to draft professional technical reports.
- Personal Attributes:• A proactive learner with a growth mindset, willing to explore and adopt new technologies and methodologies.• Capable of working independently and delivering high-quality research outputs with minimal supervision.• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.• Ability to define research directions, propose viable plans, and execute projects effectively.
- Other Skills:• Experience with simulation tools for battery performance modeling and prediction is advantageous.• Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards for batteries is a plus.• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and experience managing lab equipment and resources.
