Senior Quality Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic team member who can work effectively within a team of software quality assurance engineers to ensure the quality of the products through the application of software best practices and adherence to quality engineering processes and procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with software development engineers, architects, and others to ensure the software products being delivered are of high quality, free of defects, and aligned with customer expectations.

A Day in the Life of the Senior Quality Engineer:

• Supporting a range of quality engineering and reliability testing activities related to ongoing product improvement and new product development.
• Contributing to the development and execution of test plans; analysis of results, documenting and communicating test results to product teams, and tracking problems through resolution.
• Designing of QA test cases, test procedures, and management of test environments.
• Contributing to automation and performing detailed functional and regression tests.
• Experience executing against quality plans within a team of Quality Engineers in different roles and geographic locations.
• Meeting with the Machine Learning Engineering/Product Development teams to determine quality assurance parameters.
• Implementing testing procedures and overseeing the QA process.
• Troubleshooting quality issues and modifying test procedures.
• Conducting analysis checks to ensure product specifications and test cases are aligned.
• Review Quality Assurance reports, and KPIs to modify processes according to continuous improvement.
• Responding to requests from the design team and management.

Required Qualifications: 

We are looking for candidates who possess the rare combination of the following achievements, skills, and behaviors: 

• 5+ years of previous working experience in Quality Assurance and more specifically in Backend testing.
• Strong experience with Shell scripting
• Experience working in Linux environment
• Experience with Python, PySpark, and Databricks (basic knowledge of cluster configuration and MLflow)
• Experience working with version control systems like Git.
• Experience using UI automation tools (i.e. Nightwatch, Cypress, Playwright) for functional and regression test cases.
• Thorough understanding of Agile and QA testing methodologies and practices.
• Exposure to software development work management and collaboration tools (I.e. Jira, Confluence, etc.).
• Ability to work effectively both independently, within a team, and across teams.
• Assists with troubleshooting issues.
• Helps and mentors junior team members.
• Extremely committed, self-motivated team player.
• Ability to work in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

It will be considered an advantage if you have:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, related technical degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with Relational Databases, Sql, JavaScript, and TypeScript languages.
• Experience with testing highly scalable SaaS applications in cloud-based environments.
• Experience with performance testing and benchmarking tools.
• Exposure to Microsoft cloud services including Azure.
• Experience in working with setting up and testing with virtual machines.
• Experience implementing an automation framework and/or creating an automation framework at the complement level.
