We’re looking for an experienced Senior Quality Control Engineer to join our team and take the lead on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and manual testing across key systems. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders and business testers to ensure our systems meet user needs and deliver real value. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on teamwork, enjoys shaping UAT strategy, and has a sharp eye for detail.
This will be a full time, fixed term 12-month contract based in the Sydney office, with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate UAT cycles to validate business and end-user requirements
- Design, document, and execute detailed manual test cases across critical business scenarios
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support business testers to ensure test coverage reflects real-world use
- Manage and track defects using Jira and TestRail, ensuring timely resolution in partnership with development teams
- Perform regression testing to safeguard system stability after releases
- Drive continuous improvement by promoting QA best practices and manual testing standards
- Keep testing documentation complete, clear, and up to date
About You
- 5+ years’ QA experience with a strong focus on manual testing and UAT coordination
- Proven ability to manage UAT cycles and align testing with business objectives
- Skilled in test case development, defect management, and using tools such as Jira and TestRail
- Excellent communication skills, able to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- A collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous learning and quality excellence
- (Bonus) Experience in personal injury compensation, insurance, or other complex business domains
