Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our Engineering team to execute on the overall quality and test strategy for the Trulioo SaaS platform and Mobile clients. The highly technical Senior QA Engineer develops automated tests and tools so that the developers can test their code, driving a culture of quality across all engineering disciplines. You are a passionate Senior QA Engineer that has strong experience in delivering quality in a Scrum/Agile environment.
This is a full-time Hybrid position in our Mount Pleasant, Vancouver HQ.
What you'll be doing:
You will be part of Trulioo’s Engineering team, spearheading our Quality Engineering and test automation efforts across our products and platform working with cross functional teams to make sure department goals and objectives are met. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, has worked on a Scrum/Agile automation team and is well-versed in state-of-the-art tools and technologies that enable industry-leading Quality Engineering organizations.
- Execute on the strategic vision, using technologies required to ensure delivery of quality software for the Trulioo SaaS platform.
- Drive quality engineering efforts on agile teams, and oversee bug tracking, test prioritization, test automation, and release process.
- Influence design by reviewing the requirements, behavior specifications, and design documents to begin test development early and uncover risks prior to implementation
- Drive and document test strategies fullstack, design test cases, and conduct manual and automated testing for various features across all platforms and technology layers: UI, API, database, Android and iOS.
- Work with other engineering leaders across all engineering disciplines to apply a 'test automation first' strategy to test case execution; ensure CI/CD pipeline key integration to drive product quality.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers on the team.
You have:
- 5+ years’ hands on experience in developing automated tests using test automation frameworks at the API and UI layers
- Proven experience in at least one of the scripting or programming languages such as C#, Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL or similar
- Solid technical understanding of SaaS, REST APIs, DB and Web applications
- 5+ years’ experience supporting the delivery of quality products in agile teams using cutting edge technology (AWS device farm, microservices, Docker, AWS, Postman, Selenium, Cypress, etc)
- Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, engineering or other STEM field, or a comparable combination of education, training, and experience.
Nice to have:
- Experience in testing Mobile platforms: Android, iOS
- Experience building frameworks, tools and dashboards
- Experience in identifying and writing performance/load/stress testing scripts using testing tools and analysis of metrics (Locust, K6, Gatling or JMeter)
- Experience in BDD/TDD practices is highly desirable.
