In Nice as a Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. This role involves a blend of manual and automated testing, requiring you to perform detailed manual testing for critical features while developing and maintaining automation scripts using Playwright. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other cross-functional teams to understand requirements, define test criteria, and ensure quality deliverables. Additionally, you will identify, log, and track bugs to resolution while documenting and reporting test results effectively. Building and optimizing automation frameworks to support regression testing, you will also collaborate on performance and security testing as needed. Beyond technical responsibilities, you will drive continuous improvement in QA processes, and stay updated on the latest trends and tools in the industry to maintain excellence in software quality assurance.

How will you make an impact?

  • Design and execute manual and automated test plans to ensure software quality.
  • Ensuring the release delivered is of highest possible quality and no regression issues are introduced in live environments after deployment.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize automation frameworks and scripts.
  • Enhance the Smoke and Regression Suite for Automation with the release features.
  • Identify, log, and track bugs to resolution, ensuring effective defect management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test criteria and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Perform detailed manual testing for critical features and scenarios.
  • Drive QA process improvements and utilization of GitHub Co-pilot for improving productivity.
  • Actively participate in Agile teams, adopting methodologies and tools.
  • Analyze test results and metrics to continuously enhance quality and efficiency.

Have you got what it takes? 

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (BE/BTech/MTech/MCA).
  • Must: 4-7 years of hands-on experience in test automation and manual testing.
  • Must have experience of any automation tools like Playwright or Selenium with API testing.
  • Must have experience in test plan, test strategies, functional testing, and test case creation.
  • Must have experience with at least one scripting / programming language, such as Java, Typescript or JavaScript.
  • Experience with test frameworks such as TestNG, Cucumber, etc.
  • Experience of API testing and tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
  • Experience with database tools like MySQL.
  • Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with test reporting tools like JIRA.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with AWS is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong debugging skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues in automation scripts.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
