Senior QA Automation Tester

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Senior QA Automation Tester to join our dynamic team.

Work setup
We offer two working models: a hybrid model (3 days working from home and 2 days in the office) or a remote model with occasional visits to the office in Barcelona for team events, training, and business trips.

Role responsibilities

Automation Framework Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar.

• Ensure frameworks are scalable and reusable for multiple projects and teams.

Test Script Development and Execution:

• Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

Test Strategy and Planning:

• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define test strategies and ensure test coverage.

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and estimation processes to align QA activities with project goals.

Quality Metrics and Reporting:

• Define and monitor quality metrics like test coverage, defect density, and test execution progress.

• Generate detailed test reports and provide insights on system quality and readiness.

Defect Management:

• Identify, report, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.

• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Must-have requirements

• Strong coding skills in languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or Ruby.

• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.

• Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or similar.

• Familiarity with test management frameworks like JUnit, TestNG, or Pytest.

• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.

• Proficiency in automating API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.

• Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.

• Proficiency with Git, Bitbucket, or similar version control systems.

• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or equivalent.

• English proficiency: B2/C1 (both written and spoken communication).

• Spanish proficiency: B2/C1 (both written and spoken communication).

Nice-to-have requirements

• Experience with tools or techniques for AI-driven test automation, predictive analytics, or self-healing test scripts.

• Proficiency in mobile automation tools like Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest for iOS/Android apps.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and testing in cloud-native environments, including containerized setups (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Deep knowledge of performance testing strategies, including advanced use of tools like Gatling or k6.

• Exposure to tools like OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, or methodologies for identifying vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, XSS).
