Clickedu is a Sanoma company that offers school administration systems and digital learning environments for K-12, secondary schools, and vocational training schools. The software provided by Clickedu includes a cloud-based school platform with academic, administrative, and financial management tools, a virtual learning environment connected to digital books and free content, and management systems for teachers, tutors, and heads of studies. It also supports the quality management of educational centers and facilitates communication with families. Clickedu serves nearly 700 centers with 1,500,000 users across Spain and Andorra.

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Senior QA Automation Tester to join our dynamic team.
Work setup 🌍
We offer two work models: a hybrid setup (three days working from home, two days in the office) or a remote setup with occasional visits to our Barcelona office for team events, training, and business trips. Your designated home office should be in Spain, and you are expected to work exclusively within Spain.
Role responsibilities
Automation Framework Development:

Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using tools like Playwright, Cypress, or similar.

Ensure frameworks are scalable and reusable for multiple projects and teams.
Test Script Development and Execution:
-
Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.
Test Strategy and Planning:

Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define test strategies and ensure test coverage.

Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and estimation processes to align QA activities with project goals.
Quality Metrics and Reporting:

Define and monitor quality metrics like test coverage, defect density, and test execution progress.

Generate detailed test reports and provide insights on system quality and readiness.
Defect Management:

Identify, report, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail,

Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Must-have requirements
✅ Higher education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
✅ Proficiency in Programming: Strong JavaScript/Typescript foundation.
✅ Ability to understand existing software architecture: Identify areas of opportunity to increase test coverage across the development cycle (Unit/Integration/UI/API/E2E testing).
✅ Proficiency with Version Control Systems: Git, Bitbucket, or similar.
✅ Automation Tools Expertise: Ability to identify and document test coverage, provide a sensible testing strategy or models that can serve as a guide to implement a strong automation strategy.
✅ Proven experience with test JS automation tools: Playwright, Cypress, or Similar.
✅ Experience writing scalable, maintainable and efficient test suites that can be adapted for multiple projects.
✅ API Testing: Proficiency in automating API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
✅ CI/CD Integration: Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.
✅ Defect Tracking and Test Management: Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, or equivalent.
✅ Establish mechanisms that prevent repeated incidents being reported.
✅ Communication: Ability to effectively communicate the testing strategy, escalate risks and promote a culture of quality within the extendend team.
Ability to collaborate with Engineers to establish a quality culture within the engineering team.
✅ English proficiency: B2/C1 (both written and spoken communication).
✅ Spanish proficiency: B2/C1 (both written and spoken communication).
Nice-to-have requirements
💠 Cloud and Infrastructure Testing:
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and testing in cloud-native environments, including containerized setups (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
💠 Performance Optimization:
Deep knowledge of performance testing strategies, including advanced use of tools like Gatling or k6.
💠 Security Testing:
Exposure to tools like OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, or methodologies for identifying vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, XSS).
