P&C IT Services provides professional services to help our business units and corporate functions use technology to create, manage, and optimize information and business processes. P&C IT Services is looking for a Senior Push Developer to join their team. This individual will work a hybrid schedule out of the Cincinnati office.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain data integrity
- Provides technical support including working with Infrastructure teams for server support/upgrade and troubleshooting of environments
- Cloud Native Development and Maintenance
- Transforming data from ClaimCenter and ContactManager to send to data warehouses via XML and JSON
- Collaborates with other departments on requirements, design, standards, and architecture of applications
- Adheres to standards for software development with emphasis on test driven development
- Develops time estimates for project deliverables
- Mentoring other team members in best practices
- Participate in code reviews and status meetings
- Develop unit test cases for testing changes
- Support testing activities and collaborate with team members to diagnose and resolve complex defects
- Promotes Agile Scrum development methodology
- Production Support:
- Participates in release planning and weekend deployments
- Assist team members in issue resolution and problem solving, during daily EDW Push Jobs
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience with software development of Java applications
- 3-5 years of experience with J2EE framework
- 3-5 years of experience with RDMS such as Oracle, SQL Server or PostgreSQL, and writing SQL
- 3-5 years of experience with Java IDE such as Eclipse or Intellij
- 3-5 years of experience with XSL, XSLT or XPath
- 2+ years of experience writing Spring Boot applications and test-driven development
- Experience with web-based data formats (XML, JSON)
- Experience with GitHub for version control
- Experience using monitoring tools to troubleshoot and maintain performance
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with associates at all levels within the organization
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Analytical skills, problem solving and attention to detail
- Plus: Development experience in Guidewire products like ClaimCenter
- Plus: at least 1 year of experience coding Cloud Native Development applications
- Plus: Agile Scrum development methodology experience
- Plus: Guidewire ClaimCenter Certified
- Plus: UC4/Automic or other enterprise scheduling application
