Netsmart is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Proposal Writer to join our growing team. In this role, you will help drive the adoption of our healthcare IT solutions by delivering impactful demos and responding to proposals, showcasing how our solutions support the behavioral health and human services sectors. This role is critical in helping our clients improve care delivery and streamline operations by leveraging technology.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the sales, technical, and proposal teams to create detailed, clear, and compelling responses to RFPs/RFIs.

Ensure proposal responses align with the unique needs of healthcare organizations, with a focus on compliance, security, and interoperability in behavioral health IT.

Highlight the technical capabilities of Netsmart’s solutions, emphasizing the scalability, integration, and reliability of our network and system offerings.

Act as a trusted advisor to healthcare clients, offering pre-sales technical consultation that ensures our network and systems solutions are the best fit for their complex, integrated healthcare environments.

Understand the challenges faced by healthcare organizations, such as data privacy (HIPAA), system interoperability, and care coordination, and advise on how Netsmart solutions address these needs.

Assist in designing solution architectures that fit within the existing IT infrastructure of clients and meet the requirements of regulatory standards like HITRUST.

Work closely with Netsmart’s sales teams to strategically position our solutions and ensure all technical aspects of proposals align with customer needs.

Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to ensure you are up to date with the latest developments and features in our systems.

Support the sales cycle by offering technical expertise during contract negotiations and ensuring that the proposed solutions are feasible and aligned with the client’s goals.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare IT, or a related field.

5+ years in a technical pre-sales, Technical Consultant, Solutions Consultant, RFP development or systems engineering role, ideally within healthcare IT.

Experience with healthcare IT systems and an understanding of key operations, particularly in behavioral health, public health, or social services.

Proven success in developing and delivering technical RFP responses and assisting with product demonstrations to healthcare organizations.

Experience writing and responding to RFPs/RFIs with a focus on healthcare compliance, security, and regulatory needs (HIPAA, HITRUST, etc.).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with non-technical healthcare stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
