Position Overview:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead and oversee the execution of complex projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You will be responsible for guiding cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and driving the successful delivery of high-impact software projects. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management, strong leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Project Initiatives: Define and drive project scope, goals, and deliverables, working closely with senior stakeholders to align on objectives.
- Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Oversee and coordinate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, business analysts, developers, and QA engineers, to achieve project milestones.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing effective mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Progress Monitoring: Continuously track project progress, providing detailed status reports and performance metrics to stakeholders and senior management.
- Documentation Oversight: Ensure the creation and maintenance of all essential project documentation, including requirements, user stories, design documents, and test plans.
- Agile Leadership: Facilitate and champion Agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, managing expectations and providing visibility into project progress, risks, and issues.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all deliverables meet the highest quality standards and align with the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and schedules, optimizing the use of available resources to deliver value.
- Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment, mentoring project managers and team members, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strategic Alignment: Work closely with senior leadership to align project outcomes with broader organizational goals and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of experience in software project management, with a proven track record of leading and delivering complex projects.
- Agile Expertise: Extensive experience working in Agile development environments, with a deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience mentoring and developing project teams.
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello, or equivalent platforms.
