Your new role

As our new Senior Project Manager in the Energy from Waste and Carbon Capture team you will join +2000 high performing colleagues across the Energy Division in 35 countries who are committed and passionate about delivering innovation and technology to sustainable energy and carbon reduction projects. In this highly visible role, you will lead project execution, ensuring strong internal and external collaboration, be developing strong relationships with existing and new clients, growing our business and geographical footprint, and strengthening our reputation as a trusted advisor to our customers.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Managing large and complex international projects, including design and engineering management, elaboration of tender documents, tender evaluation and contracting as well as management of contractors, design reviews and supervision during fabrication, erection, and commissioning
  • Managing small- and medium scale domestic and international projects and studies with input from our technical experts to clients’ satisfaction
  • Taking ownership and responsibility of project management in line with international standards. Activities include planning, organising, and manage resources/processes to achieve project or programme objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints. Effective project management also includes the ability to minimize project risks, maximize project opportunity and deal effectively with project uncertainty.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation for major projects, including project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Monitoring and reporting on project progress, identifying and addressing risks and challenges.
  • Fostering strategic relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to enhance project outcomes and promote sustainable practices in major projects.
  • Continuously developing your technical knowledge and insight through projects as well as participation in relevant technical competence teams activities
  • Proactively contributing to the work in our competence team for project management with knowledge sharing, collection of lessons learnt and development of best practices and tools.
  • Mentoring and support of junior team members, providing guidance on technical and commercial matters, and encouraging them to contribute their thoughts and ideas to the wider team and assisting them in their continuous development.
  • Providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership on advancing our position in the energy transition market

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, (thermal energy, process or mechanical or a related field).
  • Proven track record (10+ years) of working experience from the thermal energy sector, both with engineering and project management tasks. Experience within energy from waste and carbon capture is an advantage.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and contractors
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in project management tools and software, with a keen eye for incorporating sustainable practices.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification an advantage.
  • Excellent spoken and written English and German.
  •  Interested in travelling to meetings and projects in Scandinavia and abroad
