What will you be doing?

As a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, your job is to primarily work with cross-functional teams, as well as with external vendors, partners, and customers to fulfil the project deliverables. You will be tasked with developing and managing project schedules, scopes, resources, and monitoring of project health.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Work with customers, internal stakeholders, external vendors to initiate a project. Clearly define project goal and objective, project scope, deliverables, schedule, cost, payment milestone, and prepare project management plan. Lay a solid foundation for project execution.
  • Assemble and direct project team, lead and drive the project team for throughout actual project execution.
  • Unify team efforts and lead effective team meetings, lead communication and promote collaboration, resolve conflicts and remove roadblocks from both external and internal counterparts. Work alongside an international team from other regions when necessary.
  • Identify potential risks early, analyse possible impact, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Establish project budgets and track spending; adjust as necessary to keep the project within financial boundaries while achieving fiscal efficiency.
  • Maintain open and transparent communication with clients and stakeholders. Closely monitor project progress and provide regular updates to various levels of stakeholders externally to client and internally to PMO office.
  • Manage client’s expectation effectively.
  • Implement quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet agreed-upon standards and satisfy client requirements. Review deliverables prepared by project team before submitting to clients.
  • Manage other day-to-day operational aspects of projects and ad-hoc tasks.

Other qualities you will need to be a fit for this role include:

  • Must have valid PMP certification or PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification with active serial number. Holding CSM and CSPO will be an added advantage.
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Project Management, General Management, Business Administration, Business Analytics or relevant fields.
  • Minimally 8 years of project management experience to qualify for the Senior Project Manager role.
  • Practical knowledge and experience on software development lifecycle, and waterfall and agile approach and methodologies.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, fast learner with a passion for technology.
  • General knowledge and understanding with Microsoft technologies, application programming, database and system design.
  • Experience in common project management tools, such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • Self-starter and proven ability to provide leadership and manage the execution of enterprise IT software implementations.
  • Having an eye for details and having potential to see roadblocks or risks down the line.
  • Comfortable in working collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated success managing priorities and personalities in cross-functional teams.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fast learner with a passion for technology.
  • Ability to read and speak Mandarin Chinese or Vietnamese will be an added advantage.
  • Software vendor / system integration service provider-based background will be an added advantage.
