Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to join us in our continued mission to build a best in class Global Creative Studio for the iconic brand of VISA.

You will be a strategic project manager with a proven track record of leading successful, creative campaign initiatives (global campaigns a big plus) - either within advertising agencies or at brand-side internal creative studios.

You should have a deep curiosity, understanding and passion for marketing and a working style that can rally teams across a global organization around the delivery of highly matrixed creative campaigns, meeting deadlines, and delivering everything on time, and at a very high standard. You need to have a natural ability to influence and guide global teams across the organization to get to the best output.

As a senior Project manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the entire creative development process from the initial intake and brief to the delivery of all final assets. An understanding of global toolkits and the delivery of assets for a global campaign is a huge benefit.

This role will work closely with our in-house team as well as with all agency partners and report into the Managing Director – Global Creative Studio.

Essential Functions:

Steer and deliver best in class global creative campaigns

  • Manage the creative development process for global creative initiatives - communicating timelines, daily/weekly status updates, and identifying potential risks/roadblocks
  • Develop project timelines and manage creative reviews, approvals, stakeholder meetings, and creative presentations.
  • Partner on a daily basis with Business Leads and Creative Leads to manage creative campaign workstreams and continuously seek opportunities to optimize project workflows and process.
  • Help manage third-party creative relationships, interfacing regularly with freelancers, production vendors and agency partners.
  • Manage legal review process of all external facing work; ensure legal approval before moving into executive reviews and/ or production
  • Partner with Insights & Analytics on creative performance testing, including study survey development, stimulus development and marketing transcreations

This is a hybrid position based in either our Los Angeles, CA or San Francisco, CA offices. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• Deep agency-side or client-side experience working with or at global brands
• Experience project managing highly successful creative, brand development, and multichannel marketing campaigns
• Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Resourcefulness with strong sense of accountability and results-oriented drive.
• Ability to initiate and drive opportunities independently across multiple complex projects that have strategic implications for the brand and company, while operating in an environment that changes quickly.
• Clear understanding of the creative development and production processes across a variety of mediums, digital and social assets, video, and activations.
• Self-starter mindset, with the ability to handle multiple projects with minimal oversight.
• Excellent communication skills across multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership, to get things done efficiently and correctly
• Incredible organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proactive problem solving, with the ability to always be one step ahead

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 134,900.00 to 217,500.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
