The Senior Project Manager Leader is responsible for setting the structure and execution of Program and Project Management for Reuter-Stokes. This includes developing practices and processes based on widely recognized best practices; executing our most critical design and development programs; reporting to senior leadership in monthly meetings; and ensuring we are delivering high-quality products on time and within budget for our customers, employees, and stakeholders.
 

As a Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for:
 

  • Influencing change and meeting project deadlines while operating in a matrix environment.
  • Implementing a structure that supports adherence to and reporting of project status including schedule, scope, budget, and risk.
  • Developing a regular cadence and template reporting to senior management working within our New Product / Technology Introduction process and Operations process which includes leading cross-functional project teams throughout the entire Project Life Cycle (PLC) in accordance Reuter-Stokes’ stage gate process.
  • Driving project accountability and communicating at all levels throughout the business and across high-visibility projects.
  • Developing & implementing project management processes with associated templates
  • Setting critical project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and then providing formal project appraisal regularly to the senior leadership team against those KPIs (minimally includes: integrated objectives for quality, scope, cost, risk, and schedule).
  • Developing and maintaining a resource-loaded schedule in Microsoft Project including critical path identification/management
  • Developing and implementation of a work & cost breakdown structures
    Reviewing, improving, and maintaining risk registers across Reuter-Stokes project portfolio.
  • Leading and assisting in business case development including project financial benefits through the use of payback, Net Present Value (NPV), and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) methods.
  • Supporting project estimation and bidding processes including development and capture of assumptions on a Basis of Estimate (BOE)
  • Leading a small team of direct reports to successfully execute Reuter-Stokes’ projects and programs.

To be successful in this role you will:
 

  • Have a minimum of 10 years successful project management experience in an industrial setting focused on cross-functional, new project development and hardware production in a highly regulated environment
  • Have formal project management training including project charter development, scope management; cost and schedule development and reporting; risk management; team building
  • Have proven experience leading a small team including performance management experience
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in a business, quality, or engineering discipline
  • Have excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills; keen written and verbal communication skills
  • Have the ability to read / understand engineering drawings, part numbering systems, bills of materials, material specifications.
  • Be able to identify configuration and design change management
  • Be able to identify and manage product qualification processes and relevant quality standards.
  • Process control, reduction of variability, systematic Design of Experiment.
    Supply chain management practices
  • Risk registers, Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Cost Performance Index (CPI), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), WBS Dictionaries, Estimate to Completes (ETCs), and Estimate at Completes (EACs)
  • Have PMI Certification or equivalent
  • Experience working within an ERP system
  • Have the ability to work on U.S. Export controlled technology
  • Have proven experience managing programs within the construct of ASME regulations, ISO 9001, or AS9100, or similar quality / regulatory requirements
  • Have the ability to travel up to 10% out of the year
