At FactSet, our PMO team leads centralized project and program management, driving best practices across the Technology division. We're seeking a dynamic Principal Project Manager to spearhead large-scale transformation efforts and critical technology and process initiatives. This role focuses on advancing FactSet's consumption-based pricing and billing transformation for products like APIs and GenAI-enabled workflows. Your work will ensure accurate value capture, variable cost monitoring, and automated usage compliance, directly contributing to our ASV growth and delivering significant value to both internal and external clients.
As part of the Technology Function, you'll collaborate with development teams, functional leads, management, and third-party partners to establish effective program structures and governance. Responsibilities include portfolio support, demand management, investment benefit assessment, OKR tracking, and cross-team collaboration to ensure organizational alignment and success. Your leadership and communication skills will be crucial in synthesizing a broad vision, implementing innovative models, and driving key strategic efforts that enable revenue growth and ROI.
Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple interconnected projects and programs to ensure alignment and mutual benefit with overall Technology and FactSet objectives.
- Establish and lead stakeholder review sessions for key strategic initiatives, highlighting progress, fostering teamwork, identifying risks, and driving resolution.
- Collaborate with teams to apply principles, tools, and best practices in program and project management.
- Develop metrics to measure, monitor, and report the progress of programs and strategic initiatives.
- Identify and implement continual improvement opportunities in processes and execution.
- Monitor project resource demand and capacity, addressing areas of concern.
- Communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams to secure buy-in and adherence to project schedules.
- Support the Technology division's portfolio activities, including project management tool governance, demand management, and project management best practices; also assist with operations-related projects and initiatives.
- Report project status, progress, and risks to executive sponsors, stakeholders, and team members, managing project expectations continuously.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 12+ years project and program leadership experience, with emphasis on technology programs that include senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Requirements:
- Strong background in project methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
- Proven ability to apply best practices in project management methods, associated tools, and techniques within a hybrid (Waterfall/Agile) program environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical thinker and problem-solver with acute attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability, balanced with strong business judgment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, work with individuals at all levels, and effectively solve problems and overcome obstacles.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.
- Independent leader who can work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team, integrating knowledge and building internal networks for success.
- Financial acumen for budgeting, expense tracking, and management.
- Experience with planning, task management, collaboration, and reporting/analytics using Targetprocess and Jira PPM tools, along with proficiency in the MS Office Suite and data visualization tools.
The budgeted base salary range for this position in the state of Connecticut is $150,000 - $180,000. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
