JOB DESCRIPTION
The leader of Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for providing governance, oversight and leadership to the Emergo by UL's global project management team in the planning, scheduling and successful management of client projects. The project team works closely with our clients, with subject matter experts and collaborates with sales and business operations to achieve project completion, ensure customer satisfaction, and business performance. The team manages a large number of projects that vary in duration, complexity and size.
The leader of PMO is a member of Emergo by UL's leadership team and reports to the GM.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and maintain the program governance (controls)
  • Provide overall leadership and support to project teams
  • Act as primary contact for escalation of program related activities, issues and risks. Manage risks and issues and take corrective measures.
  • Develop and educate staff with regard to project management best practices
  • Ensure strong focus on the customer in all aspects of project delivery to meet/exceed customer expectations
  • Define and implement project controls to drive revenue and forecasting by tracking accurately project time, milestones, targets and budgets
  • Responsible for resource planning, capacity management and utilization
  • Interface with COU and functional leadership and manage stakeholder communications in a matrix environment
  • Have in depth understanding of customer segments by industry, company stage, and geographical location
  • Hire, develop and motivate a team of project managers and coordinators to deliver exceptional levels of customer experience
  • Ensure that project delivery meets client business goals and objective
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, job specific procedures, and follow all physical and digital security practices.
  • Performs other duties as directed.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree. Master's a plus
  • Minimum 10 years' experience with consulting in life sciences in customer facing roles
  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry, medical device or related field preferred
  • Previous experience with overseeing multiple teams
  • Ability to handle multiple projects on varying timelines.
  • Extensive experience with client relationship management, service delivery processes and project oversight
  • Strong project and program management skills; budgetary skills, and strategic planning
  • Experience in collaborating with SMEs, consultants, sales and other functions in a matrix organization
  • Experience in achieving and improving customer satisfaction
  • Experience with solutions selling or business development a plus
  • Demonstrated success with org change management
  • Experience working with global regional teams an advantage
