THE TEAM:
Our Global Commerce and Payments operations teams manage over $12 billion in annual payments through our cloud-native commerce platform, purpose-built for the fitness industry. We offer extensive global coverage, powerful technology, intelligent billing, frictionless payment experiences, and unmatched risk and compliance controls.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
As a technical Product Owner for our Commerce APIs, you will contribute to the development of innovative solutions that enable clients to seamlessly accept payments by integrating with member management systems, ecommerce platforms, and mobile apps. You will support the product roadmap execution and help deliver capabilities within the ABC Commerce API product suite that empowers businesses to efficiently manage billing and collections while enhancing customer payment experiences.
You will collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-value solutions. You'll support development efforts by maintaining clear priorities and ensuring alignment with business needs, timelines, and available resources.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Collaborate with Product Management to support the development and refinement of API solutions that align with business needs and customer value.
- Manage and prioritize the API Product Backlog, incorporating stakeholder input, customer feedback, and guidance from product leadership.
- Define and document software requirements—user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria—that clearly communicate functionality and business impact.
- Participate in estimation sessions and backlog grooming to forecast delivery timelines and support planning.
- Coordinate across teams to align cross-product functionality, resource planning, and strategic priorities.
- Facilitate backlog refinement and provide clarity to development teams to ensure efficient and timely feature delivery.
- Maintain high-quality API documentation, including developer guides, reference materials, and SDKs, to support adoption and ease of use.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or Product Management, ideally supporting enterprise-facing products or digital payment systems (e.g., billing systems, payment gateways, or transaction processing).
- Experience working with API lifecycle management and integrations, including REST APIs and authentication methods such as OAuth and JWT.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban), with practical experience in backlog management, user story writing, and sprint planning.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a proactive mindset to solve problems and support customer-centric solutions.
- Familiarity with SaaS or Enterprise systems such as Accounting, Finance, POS, or Payment Processing.
- Data-driven approach with strong analytical skills, focused on continuous product improvement and delivering value.
- Comfortable working independently while seeking guidance when needed.
- Degree in Computer Science, Product Management, Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent experience.
- All applicants must be able to work from our Hyderabad office 2-3x a week
AND IT’S GREAT TO HAVE:
- Ability to translate complex data and requirements into actionable user stories that engage development teams.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, marketing, sales, finance, and customer success teams.
- Familiarity with API platforms (e.g., Tyke, Kong, AWS API Gateway) and product development in FinTech or SaaS environments.
- Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, and Figma to support product planning and collaboration.
- Exposure to Go-To-Market activities and strategic product thinking, with an understanding of how features drive growth—especially within the fitness club industry.
