We're seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the growth and efficiency of our Financing product, which enables freelancers to be paid within days regardless of clients payment terms. This role involves optimizing complex payment operations that are core to our platform, managing relationships with financing partners, and scaling our solution across multiple locations.
Reporting to a Product Director, you'll lead a new and specialized squad focused on scaling this unique value proposition, while driving down its financial and operational costs.
Key responsibilities ✨
- Product Strategy & Vision: Define a long-term vision for financing, aligning it with Malt’s business goals and international expansion strategy. Work closely with leadership, finance, and engineering teams to ensure its success.
- Roadmapping & Prioritization: Identify the most impactful opportunities through data analysis, user research and competition analysis. Prioritize initiatives that drive financial efficiency and improve the freelancer satisfaction.
- Product Discovery: Collaborate with User Research and Data teams to analyze freelancer payment behavior, credit risk factors, and fraud patterns to refine product improvements.
- Go-to-Market Execution: Develop rollout strategies for new financing models and risk management tools. Work with Product Marketing to drive awareness and adoption.
- Business Impact & KPI Ownership: Track, analyze, and report key product metrics related to financing costs, fraud reduction, and operational efficiency. Continuously refine strategies based on data insights.
- Best Practices & Collaboration: Drive alignment across product, engineering, data, finance, and executive teams to ensure seamless execution. Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making and process automation.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the strategy and execution of the Financing squad. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize financing operations while ensuring a seamless experience for freelancers

About you 🧑🚀
- Based in one of our French offices.
- 6+ years of experience as a Product Manager, ideally on a finance-related scope or a fintech environment.
- You understand or have an interest in financial concepts (e.g. credit scoring, risk management, KYC, etc.). Understanding the underlying technical concepts is a strong plus.
- Proven track record of driving automation, operational efficiency, and cost reduction (experience using AI in the process is a strong plus).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including direct collaboration with executives (frequent interactions with the CFO).
- Fluent English, a second language (ideally French or German is a real plus)
