ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Product Designer to join the Infinity team, Google Store’s design system. This role is focused on both maintaining and evolving the core system while driving its adoption across teams. The ideal candidate has experience designing at scale, a keen eye for detail, and an ability to think holistically—ensuring teams can successfully implement components and patterns in real-world scenarios.
As a key member of the Infinity team, you will work closely with engineering and collaborate with UX, product and other teams to refine and expand the design system. You will regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment to execute ideas effectively and confidently. While leadership excites you, you also recognize that great ideas can come from anywhere. You possess strong design intuition, a track record of solving complex problems, and the ability to adapt communication styles across different teams. Your ability to balance consistency with flexibility ensures that teams can leverage the design system while addressing their unique needs.
Google sets a high bar for accessibility, internationalization, and usability in its design systems. However, as a large organization with multiple priorities, adaptability is key. The ideal candidate is flexible, able to pivot as needed, and maintains a strong design vision while navigating evolving business needs.

- Maintain a high standard of accessibility, performance, and internationalization in all design system work.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on design decisions and system updates.
- Responsible for bringing a point-of-view with fresh perspectives to the team.
