Collaborate directly with users—including nurses, clinical managers, and personal support staff—to develop simple yet powerful digital solutions that empower frontline staff to deliver exceptional care to their patients.

A day in the life:
- Design for Simplicity: Design systems, flows, and interfaces that are simple, elegant and user-friendly.
- Leverage AI: Identify meaningful opportunities to integrate AI-driven solutions that enhance user experiences
- Team Collaboration: Actively participate in design reviews and working sessions to ensure our team delivers the most effective and caring solutions.
- Lead Your Own: Work autonomously on projects with complex problems. Know when to involve others, and when to seek help.
- Enhance UX Expertise: Utilize your expanding knowledge of UX, UI designs, and micro-interactions to assist users in completing tasks. Our working tool is Figma.
- Ensure Platform Consistency: Apply our design system uniformly across all platforms and contribute to its ongoing enhancement.
- From Insights to Impact: Research and translate complex problems to insights and into practical solutions.
- Cultivate Partnerships: Develop robust collaborations with teams across product, engineering, and marketing, ensuring user-centric care from concept to launch.
- Promote Design Excellence: Advocate, communicate and present design projects across the Alayacare organization.
What you bring to the team:
- 5+ years design experience supporting software product development teams either as a sole contributor or within a design team.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience leveraging quantitative and qualitative data via software analytics tools
- Demonstrable experience with design and prototyping software (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Framer, XD), our working software is Figma
- Provide a systems-thinking lens to abstract and interconnected problems
- Pair and collaborate with other Designers by sharing best practices, ideation techniques, and usability principles
- Promote and practice open communication within a collaborative remote culture
- Excellent communication skills: English and French (as an asset)
Location and travel requirements:
AlayaCare supports a flexible hybrid working model, expecting that our employees have a regular in-office presence at their closest office location while offering flexibility for some remote work. Our team encourages in-person collaboration and with this, the preferred candidate location for this position would be within the Greater Montreal Area.
