About the team:  

The FIS Platform team operates like an incubated startup within FIS, with the full support of the company and a mandate to create a world-class embedded finance platform. Our fast-paced and fun group strongly believes in putting the user first and setting a high bar for everything we ship.  

Our team is seeking a Senior Designer to play a vital role in shaping the future of banking experiences for millions of consumers. This is a senior-level position within our new design group, focusing on creating banking experiences from the ground up and modernizing existing banking products using the latest technologies. In this role, you'll be responsible for setting the vision for how we can better meet customer and end user needs, and defining, designing, and implementing the plan for how we reach this vision in the near and long term. Additionally, you will help establish and promote a strong design culture, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and other teams to successfully launch high-quality products for our clients and their customers.

What you will be doing:  

Leverage customer insights to define the requirements of end-to-end product experiences and features.  

Design product experiences for financial SaaS products.  

Lead design sprints and design planning processes to create exceptional user experiences.  

Work closely with engineering throughout the product lifecycle, from initial planning phases to final designs to launch.  

Leverage operational rigor for design through planning, principles, and frameworks to drive alignment

Work through complex and ambiguous situations to clarity and focus

Be a part of a cultural shift toward a design-forward environment by establishing and implementing design-oriented mechanisms. 

What you will need:  

5+ years as a product designer at a technology company (enterprise or banking preferred).

Strong understanding of design principles, user experience, and usability best practices.  

Experience working closely with product and engineering to ship and iterate on customer-facing products.  

Thorough knowledge of UX research approaches and methodologies.  

Ability to scope and plan projects and accountable for artifacts and deliverables

Familiarity with modern developer platforms and ecosystems.  

Proven ability to turn research results into product designs.  

Ability to turn ambiguous direction into clear conceptual solutions solving for a user need and the business with limited direction

Ability to influence a range of audiences and manage multiple projects concurrently. 

A demonstrated portfolio thinking strategically across multiple product and platform experiences and shipping successful web experiences in a fast-paced environment with impact and outcomes. (Required)

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $123,810.00 - $207,980.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
