As a Product Analyst in our Risk Management team, you will have the opportunity to join a dynamic and diverse group of product managers, engineers, and applied scientists. This team builds and maintains machine learning services to detect and mitigate abuse and fraud, working closely with stakeholders across Zalando to protect our customers, partners and Zalando from being negatively impacted. As part of our team, you will investigate changing fraud patterns, evaluate new approaches to fraud detection, setup project success measurements, and build KPI dashboards to help with all of the above. In addition, you will help product leaders determine the roadmap for our new products.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Collaborate closely with product managers and stakeholders to investigate anomalies in fraud patterns, understand our users’ journeys, and support product discovery for potential new risk tools

  • Create analytical dashboards and workflows to monitor key business and technical processes

  • Track and review project success

  • Work with applied science teams and stakeholders to evaluate machine learning models and their application to different markets and customer segments, including the setup of experiments

  • Support your peers in analytics, sharing best practices with other teams and the larger Zalando community

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • You want to dive deep into complex data and risk problems in order to create actionable insights.

  • You have a proven track record of 4+ years as a product analyst with solid experience in data analysis, experimentation, and dashboard design, ideally in a fast-paced e-commerce environment

  • You have excellent knowledge of data querying and transformation (SQL), and programming languages (such as Python/R), and Git. Experience with Spark and with data visualization tools such as Microstrategy is a plus.

  • You can balance technical acumen with business understanding and excel in collaborating with stakeholders to drive insightful, robust analyses.

  • You can efficiently manage projects and successfully collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups.

  • You have strong analytical abilities and excellent verbal and written communication in English, with a curious, creative and self-starter mindset. You couple your passion for data with pragmatism to drive actions and impact.
