Your Role:

As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will procure products and services on behalf of other business units of moderate to high complexity. Generally, requires knowledge translating specifications to a supplier for IT hardware, commercial print, furniture, and other items that require category knowledge when negotiating pricing and selecting the appropriate supplier. You will be responsible for obtaining best value and mitigating risk for the enterprise when awarding business. You will utilize data to perform analysis for problem solving, and you will exercise judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. You will build successful working relationships with both internal and external customers. You will manage supplier on-boarding, reviews, validate data provided, and approve before supplier is added to Accounts Payable system for payment. You will also be responsible for resolving issues with products and/or pricing to ensure efficient processing of payments, as well as other supplier related issues.

In this role, you may work at the direction of more senior and experienced staff and management on complex IT related orders. Ability to work independently with minimal direction on transactional purchases is a must.

Your Work:

  • Reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions. Performs purchasing activities primarily for IT departments to acquire products and/or services in a cost-effective and timely manner.

  • Train business users on P2P processes including requisition creation and receipt process.

  • Processes purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers

  • Responsible for procurement of accurate business system data input and integrity.

  • Participates in maximizing the procurement teams' changes, quote table maintenance, supplier database information, error report analysis, and part number/supplier code information.

  • Focuses on more complex IT related transactions which requires special handling due to accounting treatment of purchase and system interfaces to non-procurement applications. Other spend category knowledge required to support commercial printing and specifications, furniture, and desktop applications to obtain license keys for IT desktop team to install on laptops.

  • Interacts closely with suppliers and QA to resolve quality or service-related issues.

  • Supports Strategic Sourcing/Procurement Consultants with transaction analysis and maintains vendor hosted sites.

  • Provides supplier management for transactional suppliers. Conducts reviews with transactional suppliers. Works with suppliers to ensure market basket items are up to date and with the correct contract pricing.

  • May assist or back up Purchasing Card Administrator with Purchasing Card Program, includes credit card application approvals, audits, credit limits, disputes, card closures, training cardholders and managers and day to day support of the program.

  • May assist with reviews and approvals for new suppliers. Assist suppliers with questions regarding completion of our questionnaires. Works closely with AP on supplier related issues and/or validations to bank changes and/or remit to addresses to ensure integrity of data and ensures all changes are submitted by the supplier through the secure Coupa portal.

  • Provides oversight and guidance to other procurement specialists.

  • Processes NDAs and obtains supplier and business electronic signatures via DocuSign.

  • Handles Statements of Work, Order forms, Change orders, Basic Master Agreements, amendments, renewals and extensions. Develops contracts within their category of expertise assigned.

  • Participates in contract negotiations, may occasionally lead the team through the process for contracts.

  • Develops RFP’s, RFI’s and RFQ’s integrating requirements from business and technical clients including functional and operational requirements.

  • Facilitates the development of the selection scoring methodology and process with business, technical and legal stakeholders. Collects and organizes data (in excel) for team to review and score when managed outside of automated tools.

  • Provides support for all suppliers and assists the manager in management of the collaborative supplier relationship.

  • Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time, helping other teams, etc.

  • Actively shapes our company culture (e.g., participating in employee resource groups, volunteering, etc.).

  • Lives into cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: helping onboard new team members, building relationships, etc.).

Required Experience, Education and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5+ years procurement experience with at least 2+ years, collaborating with suppliers and obtaining quotes for spot buys and or related business experience.

  • 3+ years market knowledge experience in Information Technology or related field.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Adobe Pro, PowerPoint, and DocuSign.

  • Ability to travel as needed for role, including divisional / team meetings and other in-person meetings.

The national average salary range for this position is $80,820.00 - $89,800.00 annually. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $72,810.00 - $107,900.00 annually. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 8% of eligible pay.
