DATAMARK, Inc. is seeking a Senior Buyer to join our dynamic procurement team. The Senior Buyer will play a pivotal role in the sourcing and procurement of goods and services necessary for operations. This position involves the evaluation and selection of suppliers, negotiation of contracts, and management of vendor relationships. The Senior Buyer will work closely with various internal teams to understand their needs and ensure procurement strategies align with the company’s objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of procurement processes and market trends, ensuring that the company receives optimal pricing and quality from suppliers. Responsibilities will also include analyzing suppliers' performance, troubleshooting any procurement-related issues, and coordinating with finance for budget compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with selected suppliers
- Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance against contractual agreements
- Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement efforts with business needs
- Analyze market trends and supply chain dynamics to inform procurement strategies
- Maintain accurate purchase orders and procurement documentation
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in support of purchasing, placing orders, processing purchase requisitions or orders, inventory control, or contract administration
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Knowledge of industry best practices in procurement is a plus
