As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be leading the development and commercialization of innovation programs for the tissue business across both tissue machine and converting assets with a focus on innovation to optimize existing products and processes including business continuity. This role will work within Family Care’s Premium Dry bath tissue businesses, supporting process development, including product preference and differentiation, product supply, and margin improvements. You will provide leadership to the development and design of products and/or processes, incorporating Sustainability initiatives throughout as well as collaborate broadly with R&E, pilot plant, mill and multifunctional team members and external partners.
In this role, you will:

Lead programs focused on the development and commercialization of tissue innovation, including product and process optimization for quality and efficiency.

Coach and mentor team members to increase technical understanding and ability to execute programs to improve Family Care’s business results.

Develop and manage the budget and resource forecast relating to areas of ownership.

Maintain technical and scientific expertise in the area of sustainable tissue technology and communicate impact of developments on Kimberly-Clark.

Effectively flow to work as priorities dictate within the team/sector and be self-motivated to seek out business opportunities that may have yet to be uncovered.

Drive a culture of protected and documented innovation to protect and defend K-C proprietary technology, products, and business processes through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets.

Works closely with Project Leaders, Marketing, Supply Chain, and I&A teams, among others, to define and validate the product design that achieves project goals.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university

7 years or more relevant engineering experience in a variety of staff or mill assignments.

Proven ability to collaborate across functions/departments to drive balanced business decisions
-
Track record of research and engineering leadership and success
-
Demonstrated strengths in some of these areas: scientific experiment methods/analysis, planning/organizing, developing learning plans, comprehension of technical literature and executing consumer research
-
Demonstrated ability to provide work direction to team members not in a direct reporting relationship
-
25-30% in-country travel
Preferred (not essential, but desired):

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science related field

Prefer 10 years or more of relevant experience
-
Experience in product development, tissue processes, design of experiments, data analysis and safe operation of high-speed manufacturing and/or converting equipment and processes..

Demonstrated ability to work independently or to lead small to larger teams to complete assignments and related activities in an acceptable manner.

Desire and awareness to seek and understand competitive technologies and innovation.
-
Demonstrated ability to be coached and help in coaching less-experienced scientists/engineers.

Salary Range: $105,000 – $130,000 USD
At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
Kimberly-Clark will support in-country relocation for the chosen candidate for the role. The benefits provided will be per the terms of Kimberly-Clark’s applicable mobility policies. The benefits/policy provided will be decided at Kimberly-Clark’s sole discretion.
