Job Description
- Analog design and technical leadership of integrated circuit development projects
- Hands-on block and top-level design from specification to clean database
- Interpret requirement specifications to achieve system and design strategy for primarily power management and power converter products.
- Commitment to top level chip verification
- Support analog design engineers
- Specification and design of CMOS/BCD power management circuits meeting performance, area, power and timescale constraints
- Lab evaluation and support for circuit blocks/whole ICs
- Support DFT strategy and implementation
- Top level simulation and verification planning and implementation
- Support test development and ramp to production
- Manage/guide circuit/block layout
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Typically, 5 to 10 years analog design experience in one of the following areas: consumer electronics, specifically power management; power converters.
- Recent hands-on experience in analog full custom design
- Detailed layout judgment and supervision capabilities
- Experience of designing switching converters (Buck, Boost, Buck/Boost, Fly-back etc.) LDO’s, reference blocks, ADC’s and DAC’s
- Knowledge of portable power management: Lithium ion multi-cell charging characteristics
- Ability to propose innovative and leading-edge solutions
- Support of technical quotations
- Willingness to travel
Good communication/customer skills with working level English (written and spoken)
Qualifications
Degree level qualification in Electronics engineering or a related discipline typically required.
