Senior Pricing Analyst, Defense

Job Description:
The Senior Pricing Analyst, Defense is a critical contributor to the Allison Defense pricing process, completing financial analyses that support Defense proposal work. This work often includes collaboration with our cross-functional team to ensure successful pricing proposals. This role is primarily responsible for the development of Allison Defense Product Line Teams (PLT) as the finance representative, providing guidance to the team on all matters relating to finance and preparing business case analysis for all types of change management for Defense products. This analyst will lead the development of proposal financials and analysis for the programs associated with the PLTs they support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, analyze, and present financials to support pricing proposals for our defense end market products.
- Analyze complex financial data to complete, accurate, timely and consistent business case support to management.
- Perform monthly and quarterly financial close tasks such as invoicing, reclassifications, and accruals to support multiple programs.
- Prepare annual financial budgets and monthly financial forecast and determine financial status for revenue and costs associated with saleable programs.
- Work with cross-functional organizations to accomplish tasks by coordinating information requirements.
- Increase efficiency by developing automated applications, eliminating redundancies, and coordinating information requirements.
- Develop and present financial data to other members of the organization.
- Ensure consistent reporting and adherence to federal and state financial reporting regulations and guidelines, and conformity with company fiscal policies and procedures.
- Build and maintain desk procedures.
- Special Projects and ad-hoc analysis as assigned.
- Support Product Line Team with financial analysis for ongoing and new products such as discounted cash flow as well as represent other areas of the Finance Department.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- High proficient personal computer skills, Proficient in SAP and MS Office (specifically Excel) and technology driven. Experience with ProPricer a plus.
- Understanding in the areas of US GAAP, Cost Accounting and Manufacturing finance a plus.
- Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems.
- Demonstrates problem solving and analytical abilities on complex topics.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated commitment to teamwork.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize assignments/projects and multi-task within restricted time restraints.
