Project summary
EMW aims at offering to Thales Group Engineering Managers appropriate services to monitor and adjust their team and projects, based on data coming from different sources (e.g. engineering, bids & projects, finance, quality, HR, …).
Customers of EMW digital services are spread all around the world, leading teams with different granularity, and looking for contextual information related to their projects
Main responsibilities
- Transform business needs and stakeholder requirements into data product specifications:
- Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards to present findings and key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders and management, thereby facilitating data-driven decision-making processes:
- Collect data from various sources, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Clean, pre-process, and transform raw data into a usable format for analysis:
- Design and develop core business metrics, create insightful automated dashboards, and employ data visualization techniques to track these metrics and extract valuable business insights.
- In summary, as a Senior Power BI developer you will be part of a dynamic team utilizing a variety of data technologies
Technical skills
Mandatory
- Technical background in BI for at least 5 years
- Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- SQL skills, with experience in databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Data modelling expertise in SQL
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience with Git
Nice to have:
- Experience with low-code application development platforms
- Experience with Kimball methodology
- Experience working in a source controlled BI environment
- Data warehousing concepts
- Proficiency in Python is considered advantageous
- Apache Superset, Mendix
