The RoleWe are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Portfolio Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for our insurance portfolio. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to understand market trends, buyer needs, and competitive dynamics, translating those insights into impactful messaging and strategies that drive growth, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
Preference is for Chicago area candidates open to a hybrid model, but we are open to remote for the right candidate.


 

Key Responsibilities:

Market Insights & Analysis 

  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, buyer personas, and competitive landscapes. 

  • Translate data and insights into actionable strategies that inform product positioning and messaging. 

Go-to-Market Strategy 

  • Partner on go-to-market planning and execution for new product launches, ensuring alignment across product, sales, and marketing teams. 

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive cross-sell, upsell, and product adoption across target markets. 

Messaging & Positioning 

  • Create compelling messaging that resonates with target audiences throughout the customer journey. 

  • Develop value propositions, sales narratives, and content frameworks that differentiate the product in the market. 

Sales Enablement 

  • Work with enablement teams to equip sales teams with tools, resources, and training to articulate the product’s value effectively. 

  • Build and maintain a library of sales collateral, presentations, and battle cards tailored to different buyer needs. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Partner with product management to align product development with market needs and opportunities. 

  • Work closely with marketing teams to execute campaigns that generate demand and build pipeline. 

  • Collaborate with customer success and account teams to support adoption and retention initiatives. 


 

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years in portfolio, product, or solutions marketing.  

  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that deliver business outcomes.  

  • Messaging Expertise: Proven ability to develop compelling positioning and messaging for offerings. 

  • Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. 

  • Collaboration: A team-oriented mindset with strong organizational and follow-through capabilities. 

  • Customer Understanding: Strong skills in listening to and addressing customer needs. 

Desired Skills & Qualifications 

  • Prior experience in Insurtech, Payments, or B2B SaaS software is a plus. 

  • Familiarity with go-to-market strategies for products, solutions, and services. 

  • Familiarity with Release Marketing strategies.  

  • Knowledge of Forrester Decisions frameworks, including: 

  • Buying Decision Process Framework 

  • Buying Interactions Model 

  • B2B Portfolio Architecture 

  • Messaging Nautilus 

  • Product Portfolio Optimization
