Senior Planner/Supply Chain Supervisor

The Senior Planner/Supply Chain Supervisor will oversee & direct the plant’s cycle count and inventory control program. They will understand certification requirements.  They will set plant accuracy goals as well as individual department goals.

Role Responsibilities:

• Supervises up to 10 employees.

• Monitors daily negatives in inventory, researching the cause, and enlisting the proper people/departments to get them fixed.

• Reviews AGED inventory in WIP as well as DOCK DOOR & FG.  

• Uses Oracle BI to create reports for different departments throughout the plant, as well as to quickly find answers to production/oracle transaction questions.

• Serves as Oracle Superuser -- monitoring labor & system errors, making corrections within the system as necessary.

• Weekly Methods Review for prior week’s non-scrap inventory adjustments.

• Monthly report-out to Management via departmental Gemba.

• Quarterly review of “make” parts for Excess & Obsolescence.

• Quarterly review of paint inventory for disposition recommendations.

• Second set of eyes on Change Order processing, ensuring accuracy & addressing any inventory impacts.

• Understand and follow work instructions & processes.

• Provide support in other areas when required.

• Comply with standard work practices and SOPs.

• Keep area organized and clean.

• Comply with all EHS and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School degree or GED

• 2+ years inventory control or production planning in a manufacturing environment

• Oracle or similar ERP system experience

• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

• College degree

• High aptitude with data analysis

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work across departments & management levels
