The product is a specialized software system supporting the education and welfare of children in care. It offers features such as real-time attendance tracking, personal education plan management, and secure data sharing among social workers, teachers, and local authorities. With an emphasis on data security, compliance, and role-based access, the platform is trusted by over 100 local authorities. Future developments include mobile app accessibility, AI-driven insights, and automated support features.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve and modernize an established system to ensure high performance and scalability.
- Analyze the existing system architecture and identify areas for enhancement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and maintainable solutions.
- Implement best practices for development, testing, and deployment.
- Utilize modern technologies and tools to optimize system performance and reliability.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in PHP 8 and JavaScript frameworks, particularly React.js.
- Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and experience converting designs into responsive, user-friendly code.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS) and cloud best practices.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
- Strong knowledge of database design and optimization (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., PHPUnit, Jest).
- Excellent analytical skills to diagnose and resolve system issues effectively.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to lead initiatives and drive solutions.
- Strong communication skills with a minimum English proficiency of B2 to collaborate effectively in a global team.
