Position Overview:
The Senior People Specialist is responsible for managing key supportive HR functions to support the HR Business Partner Team. This role involves close collaboration with the HR Operations Center (HROC) and various Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure a seamless employee experience from pre-hire to offboarding. Responsibilities include handling day-to-day corporate HR operations, maintaining accurate employee data, and fostering a positive workplace environment aligned with Dutch Bros values.
Job Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience (4+ years) in a related industry, required

3+ years of experience working in Human Resources with a strong preference for employee relations experience, required

SHRM Certified Professional, preferred

Proficient with G-Suite, Workday, and Zendesk

Must have exceptional verbal and written communication abilities and commit to handling private information discreetly and professionally

Capable of both independent and team work, managing numerous tasks and deadlines

Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.

Location Requirement:
This role is located in the Greater Phoenix area. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.
Key Result Areas (KRAs):
Build partnerships with critical COEs to support an exceptional employee experience:

Support HRBP Team in executing HR strategies that align with business objectives, participating in various meetings and providing insights.

Build and maintain partnerships with COEs such as Talent, Learning and Development, Compensation and Benefits, Operations, and Engagement.

Foster strong relationships to ensure alignment and integration of HR initiatives and programs.

Efficiently resolve escalated queries through collaboration with the HR Operations Center (HROC) within agreed SLAs.

Collaborate with the HR Operations Center (HROC) to handle specific data requests and transactions that require HQ oversight or cannot be processed by HROC.

Act as the point of contact for second-tier HR-related issues, escalating to HRBP as necessary and ensuring timely follow-up.

Use critical thinking to identify and develop process improvements.
Maintain accurate employee data:

Accurately manage HRIS employee data throughout the employee lifecycle.

Job change management, administrative tasks, and personnel changes.

Regularly audit employee data for accuracy and address any discrepancies or errors promptly.

Produce reports on employee data as required for internal and external audits, compliance checks, and organizational analysis.

Utilize data analytics to provide insights into workforce trends and support decision-making.
Manage and resolve complex employee relation issues:

Maintain deep knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.

Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.

Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.

$72,865.23 - DOE
