The Team
Sitting within the wider HR team, the Payroll team is in charge of end-to-end payroll services for 3500+ associates, which are split between 10+ legal entities and supported by multiple HR Operations teams.
The main function of the Payroll team is to provide timely and accurate payment to associates (while adhering to governmental regulations and company controls), to build a strong relationship with the payroll provider and to partner up with all HR functions to facilitate readiness of initial data for the payroll cycle.
The Position
The Senior Payroll Specialist is a key member of a high-performing NL Payroll team. Supporting monthly end-to-end payroll cycle.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure an accurate and timely payroll month close including but not limited to basic pay, statutory and supplementary benefits, stock compensation, payroll taxes

  • Analyze data processing, reconciliation input vs output, discrepancies resolution within tight deadlines

  • Payroll calculation and administration of expats/inpats

  • Timely and correct Wage tax filing, monthly/quarterly financial reconciliations including but not limited GL postings, relevant accruals

  • Point of contact for internal and external auditor

  • Payroll FAQs maintenance

  • Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder’s management, assistance to HR Operations in complex Payroll matters

  • Provide payroll feedback and data when required to support with HR projects

The Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a payroll environment

  • Knowledge of Dutch payroll & legislation

  • Experience with SAP Payroll (preferable ADP GV)

  • Ability to advise on Dutch taxation, labor law related to employee compensation, benefits

  • Excellent Excel skills

  • Must be able to speak and write in English effectively

  • High numerical and analytical skills

  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Pro-active attitude, hands-on mentality

  • Problem solving mindset & positive attitude

  • Experience to work within a SOX environment

  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly, analyze information and exercise good judgment

  • Ability to work effectively as an individual and as a team member
