JOB SUMMARY
We are currently seeking an accomplished Senior Network Engineer to lead our team in delivering cutting-edge solutions aligned with industry best practices. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in network architecture, a deep understanding of emerging technologies, and a proven track record of implementing robust and scalable network infrastructures. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our clients' networks, driving innovation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
OBJECTIVES
As a Senior Network Engineer, your primary objectives will be to elevate our network infrastructure to industry-leading standards, contribute to strategic planning, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. You will serve as a technical authority, guiding the resolution of complex issues, and driving initiatives to stay ahead of industry trends.

- Arrangement: Hybrid - This role requires 2 days in-office in Raleigh-Durham, NC
RESPONSIBILITIES
Proactive Network Management:
- Conduct in-depth reviews of client environments, implementing solutions to enhance performance, security, and scalability.
- Analyze and address repetitive alerts, ensuring a proactive approach to network health.
Project Leadership:
- Lead and contribute to projects for new implementations, adhering to industry best practices and ensuring future-proof solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network architectures that meet or exceed industry expectations.
Technical Expertise:
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Cloud Infrastructure, Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Firepower, Cisco Switches/Routers, FortiGate Firewalls, Meraki Firewalls/Switches/Access Points and Cisco ISE.
- Apply industry best practices in cloud networking, ensuring compliance and security in IaaS platform configurations.
- Utilize advanced packet analysis skills for troubleshooting and optimizing network performance.
- Troubleshooting and solving network issues, monitoring the network, performance tuning and using automation tools/scripts to automate operational tasks.
- Driving Engineering and supporting other Network Engineers in their day-to-day operational activities
- Peer review of designs, implementation plans, software code, configuration settings or other artifacts
Documentation and Communication:
- Create and present detailed technical documents, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of comprehensive network documentation, adhering to industry guidelines.
REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
- CCNP Certification
- Knowledge of SDWAN and implementation
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, FortiGate, Cisco Meraki
- In-depth knowledge of network routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and layer 2 technologies.
- Proficiency in Azure, including configuring networks within the IaaS platform.
- Strong understanding of First Hop Redundancy methods (HSRP, VRRP, GLBP).
- Familiarity with security protocols and technologies such as SSL, IPSEC, and VPN.
- Advanced knowledge of network operating systems, including Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR, and NXOS.
- Expertise in wireless networking technologies and protocols (802.11ac, WPA2, Radius, 802.1x).
- Experience in automation technologies such as Ansible
- Ability to write playbooks
- Familiarity with network design and architecture principles.
- Ability to work independently, drive issue resolution, and meet stringent deadlines.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- CCIE certification.
- Understanding of VoIP in an enterprise infrastructure.
- Experience with F5 Load Balancers or any other load balancer technology.
- Knowledge of network virtualization technologies such as VMware NSX or Cisco ACI.
- Experience working with financial vendors, especially Bloomberg.
