How you will impact the organization…
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's network infrastructure. This includes the physical network, the virtual network, and the security infrastructure. The Senior Network Engineer will work closely with the other members of the IT team to ensure that the network is reliable, secure, and scalable.

- Design, implement, and maintain the company's network infrastructure.
- Manage the physical network, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Manage the virtual network, including VLANs, subnets, and routing.
- Manage the security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
- Monitor the network for performance and security issues.
- Troubleshoot network problems and resolve outages whenever encountered.
- Implement security patches and updates.
- Participate in an on-call rotation, providing support during off hours for incident escalation and resolution.
- Work with the other members of the Operations team to ensure that the network is reliable, secure, and scalable.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested. Consensus reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
What you will bring to the table…
- 5+ years of experience as a Network Administrator
- 3+ years of experience as a Senior Network Administrator in a cloud-resident SaaS organization
- 1+ years experience with administering Fortinet FortiGate Next-Generation Firewalls in AWS
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies
- Experience with virtual networking and security infrastructure
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and documentation skills
You will stand out if you also have…
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- CCNA, CCNP, and/or CCIE certifications preferred
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- Ability to travel to the Downtown Los Angeles when needed
- Active, transferable U.S Government Security clearance or the ability to obtain one

- Location requirements: Fully remote within the U.S. (Los Angeles preferred.)
- Travel requirements: Up to 20% travel
- Physical requirements: Must be able to sit for long periods, as well as, handle long periods of screen time
- Technology requirements: Reliable, high speed internet
- Eligible for sponsorship: No
- Security clearance: Ability to achieve and maintain a security clearance with the U.S. Government is required
The salary range for this role is $170,000 - $185,000 USD annually. The total compensation package for this position is negotiable and may also include [annual performance bonus, ESPP, enhanced time off packages and benefits.]
