We are seeking a hands-on Senior Network Engineer to join our Network Services Team in New Jersey. This is a technical role within Customer Engineering requiring diverse technical skillsets needed to guide customer network installations consisting of VMWare Velocloud SD-WAN, Fortinet (FortiGate) Firewalls, Managed WiFi (FortiAP and Adtran BlueSocket), and Fortinet/Cisco/Adtran switches. The position reports directly to the “Senior Manager Customer Engineering – Data Networks”. The position deals directly with customers and requires the ability to manage customer expectations and maintain a positive demeanor 100% of the time.  The candidate must be able to work on Federal Customers.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, Implement, and Manage SD-WAN, Cloud FW, switching and routing solutions for customers.
• Lead customer installations and provide guidance to Service Delivery organizations.
• Lead Engineering review meetings with customers and provide designs specific to their technical needs.
• Manage all assigned trouble tickets to ensure they are completed within SLA.
• Provide Tier4 support for Teir2 and Tier3 departments during outages.
• Ensure all customer installations are properly monitored via Intermapper.
• Create and maintain accurate detailed drawings and procedural documentation for each customer.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• VMware Velocloud SD-WAN Design, Implementation, and support.
• Fortinet Firewall (FortiGate) Design, Implementation, and support. (Familiar with FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer)
• Adtran Switch management via NCommand.
• Cisco IOS Routing and Switching / CCIE or CCNP
• WAN Technology (MPLS, MP-VPN, SD-WAN)
• AWS and Azure Cloud configuration and management.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• BS degree majoring in a technical discipline (Network Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc.)
• 4+ years of hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting data networks.
• 4+ years of experience working with multi-vendor infrastructure. Specifically with VMware Velocloud SD-WAN, Fortinet security appliances, and Cisco Meraki switches.
• Cisco CCIE Certification
• 4+ years hands-on experience with VMware Velocloud SD-WAN, Fortinet Firewalls. (Configure, Deploy, Support), and Cisco Meraki.

OTHER DUTIES

• Maintain a positive demeanor when dealing with customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Provide on-call support off-hours including weekends.
• Ability to work occasional weekends to support customer turn-ups. (Flexibility in work hours is highly desired.)

Position may be remote or on-site depending on candidates’ location.
