Essential Functions:
- Work with Operations architect and senior Operations staff to deliver a fast, scalable, secure, highly available and cost-effective network
- Collaborate and support a global team of network engineers. Work with Operations management on priority, network engineer assignments and change management board.
- Strong remote collaboration skills via chat, email, and voice and video conferencing tools.
- Attentive and responsive to internal team requests via chat tools to identify, respond and resolve issues, questions and collaborative tasks.
- Growth mindset to support application of DevOps principles for continuous improvement, innovation and improvement.
- Ensure routers, firewalls, load balancers and network switches are configured to meet business and technical needs.
- Ensure the network is monitored, patched and maintains high availability.
- Apply, adapt and tune network changes as needed to maintain and improve networking infrastructure and application performance.
- Analyse and troubleshoot all network and communication devices
- Review and analyse network, system and application logs for issue resolution.
- Coordinate task work with other Operations teams (security, systems administration, data base administration) as necessary
- Use of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) or Critical Problem-Solving methodologies to identify and resolve issues.
- Provide consistent status updates on tasks, projects and issue RCAs via ticketing systems and/or collaborative tools.
- Provide technical guidance to other staff members within the organization.
- Available for on-call escalations per on-call schedule.
- Assist the customer support team to investigate customer reported performance issues as needed.
- Manage vendors and service providers to assist with their products and services to ensure company needs are being properly met
- Provide technical support to other Engineering & Client Services and other organizations as needed.
- Use available performance tools to monitor, manage and track system performance to ensure customer satisfaction and provide data in support of customer queries and feed to performance and capacity planning.
- Work with TeleSign security team to maintain the security and integrity of the network and systems.
Essential Requirements:
- 3 + years' experience with Cloud Technologies, (AWS, Azure)
- 5 + years’ architecting highly available and scalable multi-tiered and distributed networks
- 5 + years’ experience in multi-tiered and distributed network administration
- Extensive Hands-on configuration experience with Palo Alto, F5 and Cisco.
- Experience in managing network firewalls – ACLs, VPN (site to site/Remote access), HA/failover configuration
- Experience with BGP, VLANs, IPSEC, LAN/WAN routing, NAT/PAT, DNS, ARP, TLS/SSL
- Familiarity with packet capture, trace and log analysis for issue resolution.
- Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills with ability to gather requirements, drive technical decisions
- Self-organized, with a proactive approach and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work with others well and participate on cross-technology teams
- Excellent communication skills and strong customer focus
- You can work on-call and in shift work where required
- Fluent in English, verbal and written
- Some international travel is required
Desired Requirements:
- Familiarity with Linux for navigation, administration and basic network validation of access and issues.
- Familiarity with VMware environment administration and concepts.
- Understanding of the following Protocol communication: HTTP, SMPP, SDWAN
- Experience in multi-tier internet application platforms, especially service-oriented architecture
- Infrastructure as code and DevNet competency for automation enhancements.
