The Network Automation Architect is responsible for developing IT infrastructure solutions and standards that meet or exceed business performance expectations. This position will architect, design, develop and deliver automation platforms, CI/CD pipelines to support deployment automation, day-two automation, and Network Operation Functions. The position is responsible for creating detailed solution designs and documentation that supports the development, implementation and operations of enterprise-class network used globally across Cepheid’s locations.

This position is part of the IT Infrastructure & Operations team and will be based in Bengaluru, India. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Design, install and maintain automation platform for the infrastructure and operations group.
• Provide automation for rapid and large-scale network deployments, real time network monitoring, fault management and self-healing response.
• Develop detailed design, installation and configuration documentation for enterprise system deployments.
• Ensure the security of the enterprise infrastructure and compliance with all applicable security standards (PCI, PII, HIPPA etc.).
• Recommend and oversee projects that expand, change, or improve the systems and related infrastructure.
• Develop solutions with a focus on reducing operating costs or increasing employee experience.
• Learn to keep pace with the latest emerging trends according to business requirements and be at the forefront for innovation within the Infrastructure domain.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Ansible/Python/Terraform or other automation technologies.
• Knowledge of networking technologies, including routing, switching, DNAC, SDA, BGP, etc.
• Ability to work in a team environment and availability to work outside of regular business hours, as needed.
• 5%-15% travel as per business requirements.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Cisco technologies.
• SASE, Firewalls, Jira, Confluence
