POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Editor is responsible for editing pharmaceutical advertising materials in virtually every medium (print, digital, social, and TV) and at every stage of development. As quality control for the agency, this role is crucial to the successful execution of projects, ensuring that every project is accurate, error-free, and adheres to brand, medical, legal, and regulatory guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Serve as the lead editor for at least 1 brand, while being supported by other members of the Editorial Department
· Edit all marketing and sales training materials (eg, sales aids, social media, websites, emails, and TV ads) for assigned brand(s)
· Adhere to client/brand and FDA guidelines and update editorial style guide as needed
· Ensure designed reads happen at the appropriate times in accordance with agency process
· Fact check all content prior to med/legal reviews, and collaborate with Copy to ensure all claims are scientifically accurate and supported
· Help direct established editorial and agency processes, and partner with other disciplines (eg, Account, Creative, Project Management, Strategy, and Submissions) in ensuring all agency quality control measures are followed
· Act as a trusted resource on grammar, brand and client guidelines, and FDA regulations
· Assume responsibility in the absence of Managing Editor, when necessary
· Assist with onboarding training junior-level editors at the request of the Editorial Manager and/or Editorial Director
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
· At least 3-5 years of promotional pharmaceutical advertising editing experience required
· Prior HCP launch experience required
· Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro and ProofHQ
· Exceptional attention to detail and strong oral and written communication skills
· Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
· Expert knowledge of AMA style and FDA rules and regulations
· Excellent time management and decision-making skills

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $100,000 to $120,000 Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
