The Sr. Media Planner position develops results-driven digital media campaigns across various solutions. This position will work as part of the Digital Ad Operations Center of Excellence and be responsible for the planning and implementation of media campaigns across Cox Media's robust digital media product portfolio (OTT/CTV, programmatic, search, social and more).
This position will also serve as a facilitator between Cox Media's field sales and strategy teams, Cox Media customers, DSP platforms and internal fulfillment teams.
Campaign Execution:

  • Based on client budgets and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), utilize tools to determine the inventory availability and create best in class media across products for best results.


  • Provide requested information as well as bring ideas and suggestions for enhancing media plan, expanding targeting and new opportunities


  • Work to secure additional inventory opportunities through PG or PMP opportunities for customized and tailored solutions


  • Input media plans into Digital Order Management System for campaign execution and work alongside Campaign Traffickers to support foll end to end order execution


  • Manage campaign assets to ensure accurate execution of digital campaigns.


  • Understanding and collecting creative and technical specifications and requirements of vendor partners. Assisting with the execution and compliance standards of co-op for digital campaigns.


  • Execute fulfillment of campaign renewals, modifications, and creative changes for existing clients.


Advanced Campaign Execution Accountabilities:

  • Creates strategies and media plan for Cox Media most sophisticated clients with complex media plans across multiple products, solutions and KPIs.


  • Responsible for identifying best performing media by platforms, inventory and client industries to create best practices and strategies


  • Work closely with the analytics team to ensure campaigns are configured for the accurate and effective collection of data tracking and reporting.


  • Provides campaign execution expertise and troubleshoot assistance as requested to ensure stakeholder needs are met.


  • Contributes ideas and innovations to improve existing systems, work processes and procedures.


  • Works with peers, boundary partners and management to identify and resolve administrative, process and procedural issues impacting overall onboarding effectiveness.


Quality Assurance:

  • Review digital campaign submissions for accuracy and compliance with Cox Media methods and procedures.


  • Become an expert in Cox Media's internal ad trafficking, creative management, proposal creation and client management tools and processes to reduce errors and create efficiencies.


  • Ensure compliance with internal and vendor SLAs for timely execution of campaign onboarding.


  • Identify reoccurring issues and suggest improvements to processes and tools.


Digital Expertise & Professional Development:

  • Staying informed of industry trends and best practices, focusing on how changes can help improve offerings to accounts and sharing knowledge to team members.


  • Act as subject matter expert of Cox Media's digital media portfolio and invest in continued education on internal processes and compliance standards.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Serve as the liaison between DSPs, offshore resources, and the internal teams.


  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for accurate execution of digital fulfillment processes and campaign support.


  • Manage communications with internal and external stakeholders as it relates to campaign activation.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years of experience in a related Digital field such as Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years' experience in a related field


  • 4 or more years of experience in Digital Marketing


  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software


  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment


  • Ability to reason, troubleshoot and problem solve


  • Knowledge of cable advertising trends and industry dynamics is a plus


Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in related discipline Marketing, Business Administration


  • 3 or more years of experience as a media buyer or planner, performing advertising agency work, working in a marketing or public relations role, or some combination of these


  • Product specific experience in programmatic, search and or social media fulfillment and execution


USD 72,200.00 - 108,200.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $72,200.00 - $108,200.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
Benefits:
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
