The Engineering & Product Development Job Family Group is responsible for the engineering and technical operations of the organization, as well as managing or performing research and development. Activities include undertaking research, design, and development to improve the organization's products and services; designing, constructing, testing, and operating equipment; ensuring that standards of quality, cost, safety, reliability, timeliness, and performance are met in production processes; interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications; developing and testing theories under various conditions in a laboratory environment; researching the environmental effects of the organization's activities.
Responsibilities:

Discover, develop, and evaluate new product ideas, enhancements to existing products or strategic product extensions.

Specifies precise new product functional requirements; designs, tests and integrates components to produce final designs; and evaluates the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability and safety.

Design, develop, executes, and evaluates fitness-for-use testing, product specifications and process validation plans.

Collaborates with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, designers and product specialists to optimize designs for manufacturability.
Requirements:

Ability to apply industry standards or education / training to develop solutions, as well as using expanded conceptual knowledge.

Work within guidelines and policies that impacts the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.

Analyze possible solutions using technical experience and judgment to solve straightforward situations.

Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks
Preferred:

Knowledge of FEA or CFD

Knowledge of CREO
