Working in-house, directly with engineers and the broader business, we create inspirational communications that showcase our technology.

Our commercial strategies should launch our pioneering technologies and explain why they are better as simply and clearly as possible. We create customer and owner experiences that are authentic and uniquely Dyson.

About the role

At Dyson, we're passionate about reshaping the future through technology and innovation. We're on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Marketplace Manager to join our team in Cologne, with a specific focus on the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). This is a pivotal role responsible for driving our marketplace strategy and ensuring the growth and success of Dyson's presence on various e-commerce platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take complete accountability for the DACH marketplace accounts' profit and loss, ensuring financial targets are met and exceeded.
  • Define and drive the strategy, pace, and processes necessary to foster significant growth within the DACH marketplace landscape.
  • Meet and surpass online sales performance targets for marketplace accounts, providing comprehensive visibility and insightful storytelling to DACH & EMEA leadership.
  • Lead the annual negotiation cycle with key partners, seeking opportunities that add value to our operations and partnerships.
  • Constantly scan the market for emerging e-commerce players, engaging in discussions to assess their potential and alignment with Dyson's goals.
  • Coordinate the launch of new marketplaces, navigating a complex matrix involving supply chain, finance, IT, customer services, marketing, and external agencies.
  • Cultivate and sustain robust relationships both internally and externally to maximize return on investment.
  • Oversee trading operations, including stock administration, sell-out management, forecasting, and volume planning for all marketplaces.
  • Manage onsite and offsite media tasks, covering retail media, live shopping events, and newsletter marketing campaigns.
  • Enhance the Dyson Direct platform's excellence, understanding shopper journeys through thorough analytics, exceptional merchandising processes, and testing innovative propositions.
  • Lead and develop a team of five account managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

This role involves taking full ownership of marketplace accounts and financial outcomes while strategically driving growth and improving online sales performance.

This role is ideal for someone with a strategic mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for e-commerce. If you are driven by results, thrive in dynamic settings, and are ready to make a significant impact, we invite you to join Dyson in revolutionising the marketplace experience in the DACH region.

About You

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for E-Commerce, possess strong commercial and financial acumen, and have the capability to work independently in a hands-on environment. Our Senior Marketplace Manager should be a proactive, high-energy individual who enjoys the fast-paced and ever-evolving nature of our industry.

  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities to guide business strategy decisions with close attention to detail.
  • Excellent storytelling capability and strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable, with high energy levels and the ability to quickly integrate into a new organization.
