About the Role:
As Senior Manager, APAC Marketing, you will lead strategic community and influencer marketing programs to drive growth and brand awareness for Remitly. Reporting to the Senior Manager, EMEA & APAC Marketing, you will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop high-impact marketing initiatives that align with our business objectives and brand values.
You Will:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive community marketing strategy for the APAC region, including ambassador programs, event activations, sponsorships, and strategic brand partnerships that align with overall company goals
- Develop and lead APAC influencer marketing, defining outreach, compensation models, and engagement plans for both upper and lower influencers to support customer growth and brand awareness. Additionally, this role will lead the influencer strategy for all of EMEA & APAC
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, influencers, and ambassadors that can drive revenue, expand market reach, and enhance brand visibility
- Oversee, optimise and expand the community and influencer marketing across APAC, ensuring maximum impact and alignment with Remitly's brand vision and regional goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Analytics, Brand, Creative, Business Management, etc.) to align marketing initiatives with broader campaigns and business strategies
- Manage and optimise a multi-million-dollar community and influencer marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation for maximum impact, including overseeing and managing a community marketing agency to drive execution, performance, and alignment with strategic goals
- Track, analyse, and report on the performance of community and influencer programs, using data-driven insights to refine strategies and maximise effectiveness
- Lead negotiations with community partners, influencers, and ambassadors to establish clear terms, agreements, and expectations for successful collaborations.
- Recruit, manage and mentor a team of community brand ambassadors, providing guidance and fostering professional development to drive program success
You Have:
- 10+ years of experience in marketing for consumer (B2C) brands, with a strong focus on influencer marketing, community marketing, and events
- Hands-on community marketing experience, including direct engagement with local communities. Comfortable attending weekend and evening events as needed, with willingness to travel domestically to support key activations
- Proactive and self-motivated problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and can adapt to change effectively
- A proven track record of developing and executing high-impact influencer and community marketing initiatives that drive measurable business growth
- A strong community network within APAC, which can be leveraged to scale ambassador programs and partnerships
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- A data-driven mindset, with the ability to measure campaign success and apply insights to optimise performance
- Strong proficiency in influencer marketing tools and platforms to assess and improve campaign effectiveness
- A strategic and creative mindset, capable of generating innovative and effective marketing programs.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire, manage, and develop a team
